About
There are lots of PEAKS and TROUGHS of sailing. We view them all as just GROUNDSWELLS. So from the Admiral and Captain of Holy Grail, a 51′ aluminum cutter, We focus on questions and discussions of interest to those who charter with us in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, and those who are interested in sailing, boat building, and offshore cruising because “…there is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing as simply messing about in boats,” said Ratty to the Mole in Kenneth Grahame’s wonderful 1908 classic, “The Wind in the Willows.”
We are devoted to boats, sailing and especially cruising. You may not find much in these pages about racing, but lots of discussion about preparing for cruising, desireable boat characteristics and any other related subjects that
interest you. We invite you to comment or ask questions, share alternative viewpoints, or disagree as long as you are not disagreeable. We promise to publish everything relevant, not containing rude or objectionable language or promoting commercial interests.
